Education and Skill
Development

Education is essential for reducing poverty because it increases productivity and health, fosters gender equality, and creates chances for upward mobility. It is the cornerstone of the country’s socioeconomic growth and is arguably the most significant investment for advancement. From a personal standpoint, education encourages a love of learning and a quest for knowledge, boosts self-esteem and confidence, and enables people to reach their full potential and participate meaningfully in the social, cultural, civic, and economic facets of society. Currently, education has been a major area of concentration for our Trust. Through the education portfolio, our Trusts work to deliver “Authentic learning for all” in a thorough and all-encompassing way. While striving to provide fair access to these learning opportunities, the objective is to offer top-notch, genuine, real-world, active learning experiences that shape productive and well-rounded citizens of the twenty-first century.
Sixty-two percent of India’s 1.3 billion people are between the ages of 15 and 59, according to CII’s 2018 India Skills Report. According to World Bank predictions, India’s labor force will grow by around 12 million young people between the ages of 15 and 29 annually. The World Bank analysis reveals that only 2.3% of India’s workforce has received formal skills training, making millions of people unfit for work, despite the fact that these figures highlight the country’s enormous human potential. Skill development for jobs and livelihoods can help close the gap between employability and unemployment, which is the goal of our Trusts’ skill development portfolio. With the ultimate goal of boosting the nation’s competitiveness and economic growth, the Trusts’ programs are made to encourage livelihood chances through instruction and hands-on training.
